on thursday low tide was fun. the north end had a lot of sand, it was really flat quite a ways out and the sand was hard packed. The middle had some good shorebreak waves, they were pretty infrequent tho. The trough didnt seem to be eating up too many waves, maybe it got filled in a little bit.

Got a 2mm l/s springsuit from Hotline. It's perfect for the weather. When winter comes I would recommend layering up with wick tops first, and then if that doesn't work for you then go get a full suit. It works for me just fine in the winter because my legs don't get too cold. The big problem is tha...

2 guys at my office have those yoga balls to sit on and they're both flaming gay. Me, I had my desk raised and now I stand or sit on a stool. Grr, tough! No blue balls for me! ..... ? I'd have to say you are exhibiting some flaming characteristics and better cool down. Would I sit on the balance bal...

hope you aren't skimming in SF right now! it's a nice bowl of steaming horrible sauce outside. I'm staring at treasure island from the emb right now. The dub is so strong and the bay is all chopped up - I see swells traveling out to sea and breaking against the pier. Pretty hard, too, a good 10ft sp...

better foam now that clark is gone?

I was reading about Clark Foam's (manufacturer of surf board blanks) closure b/c of environmental problems with polyurethane. Sounds like the big hole left will cause a lot of competition and (hopefully) R&D. Article said TufFoam and Epoxy would probably get the most attention. A bunch of manufactur...

found this SF water quality page, it's a nice mashup with google maps. http://www.earth911.org/waterquality/default.asp?cluster=3 I'm a little surprised to see no alerts posted, makes me wonder if it's accurate, but I don't need to be told "the water's fine" twice! How about a homepage resources link?

rain runoff

has anybody heard, with all the rain we've been getting, is the water teeming with runoff life? I did a few news and google searches and didn't pull up anything in particular. This constant supply of yummy pollution and dirt must really be good times for shore bacteria and algae.
