Baker Conditions Thread

Post by sliprunner » Wed May 06, 2009 9:53 am

How about one Baker thread with a proper title?

So today at Baker as of 8:00am

The slope is back a bit but the sand shifting alot from day to day.
The swell is a little big today and there is a big trough for the outside waves but you could have some fun perhaps for the high tide on some inside wash. W is not a factor at least and the pebbles aren't too bad. Closer to high tide the better today...

Thanks for the update man. I'm going to try to get out there tomorrow morning, probably around 8:30. If you have any new info, let me know, I got my phone back.

For anyone who cares: the slope is back, especially at the north end, and it was breaking pretty well on the incoming tide yesterday morning. This weekend could be good...

Any idea if Baker will be anything tomorrow? I checked it on Tuesday and it was flat as all hell. I'd appreciate any suggestions of where else might be decent also...

Baker wasn't very good yesterday... Waves were nice and glassy, but the slope is gone and the trough is in effect.

About 12-2. There's a chance that it could have gotten better closer to high tide.

Did you end up going selva? I drove past, and it didn't look like there were any waves coming through...

I'm thinking about heading out Saturday morning when the swell picks up a little. How is the slope?

Yeah I was there from around 8:30-10:00. Toward the north end we got some waves but not many. Its still pretty flat and a little rocky but i think with a higher tide and a bit more swell it could be fun. Just need that slope back

I drove past this morning around 8:30... Slope is nothing special, but there is a pretty good swell coming through. Looks like it will only get better closer to high tide, as long as the w stays down.
