It was good around HT two weeks ago so that would be noonish...so maybe 10 on.
When the going gets tough the tough go skimboarding.

Today the swell was a bit small so it was kind of slow and barely breaking for maybe an hour on each side of the high tide, but was really fun as it got low enough. Tomorrow swell looks like it's going to bump up a foot or two though, so good chance it will work through the high tide. I'm going to try and get there around noon. Rumor is that "Quiet Wyatt" is going to make the trek up to skim it too, so should be a fun skim party. Here's a couple quick pics I snapped on the way down today showing how the left's were the predominant feature (we were getting most of them around the corner though):

Nice! We were skimming small Montara - but it was fun. I think it would take me a week and a half to get up there after work so I'll miss it again - oh well, back to Montara.

Not really when I checked it last week. Looks like the point is really flat, so that even at high tide it's kind of too far out with too much water in the way. Maybe it has improved this week though.

Sorry man, was out of town for a few days and just saw this post, but I'm not even sure if the sand is setup good at Bolinas still. Haven't been able to get down there in weeks. Seems like it doesn't need much swell to work as long as the sand is setup though.

haha well it took a while for the south swell to show through all the leftover NW dubswell. Did have a couple fun days at the peaky south end of Portuguese and now the Cove is pretty setup. Also very warm water. Wright's was looking decent too, but maybe a tough run with flatter beach setup. I'll definitely post on here if anything is looking to fire though. Would love to have a Cramik skim sesh in fun waves!

What happened to the days when the cove was all the talk... Maybe I'm just getting old or the cove has lost some of its hype.... But everyone would get so excited a few years ago! People woul come out the woodwork!! So many good times!

Hahah well Cove actually is setup pretty good right now, but there's been a light south breeze that's been chopping it up a bit while Portuguese has been glassy and firing. Colin said the Cove was pretty sick yesterday though. Water has been warm as ever too in the Bodega area. This week and weekend is looking like nice conditions too, so get out there while the getting is good.
