Post by ADHDkid » Thu Nov 24, 2011 8:45 pm

Hello,
I am in the process of ordering a new board and I was wondering if I could get some help please. I was wondering what your guys preferred preferences on shape like width and length is and also for thicknesses for a good board around the bay area.
Thanks a bunch!

Most of the people in the Bay Area ride a board with 3/4 foam, and maybe slightly larger than the sizing charts indicate. Our spots require running shoes so bigger boards help the cause. Squash tails are pretty popular as well. Happy Skimtastics!

So if looked around and decided on an exile. And after word from you guys 3/4 thickness. And a size up?? Now I was wondering what shape would be best, a hybrid or a pro model? And lastly how much rocker?
The advice is much appreciated.
Thanks!

Sorry I have never heard of baker or square ski boards. I just looked and they look awesome. Interested in one now. Any suggestions on which model to get?

i think you should have the best of both worlds. Order a baker and a square, this will work out perfectly because you'll have your square in a week or 2. Then next year, when you get your Baker it will be just in time to replace your aging square.
