Sand being built = soft sand

Sand being swept off the slope = hard sand

Too much tide for slope = oversaturated = soft sand

"Sand being swept off the slope = hard sand " I don't always skim, but when I do I prefer outgoing tide

Thanx guys , come on Dustin i know you are out there somewhere thinking something. Ive seen soft sand threw new swell, old swell, high tide, low tide, rain and sunshine full moon and no moon swell picking up swell droping out,w killing it and w double up the swell(on and off shore). With that said, come skim shark park with me some day and you will see. And my next question will be where does that concrete sand come from?

In regards to the post on "left" (good stuff!), as I mentioned before I had that vid Skimquest when I was a kid, I'm pretty sure there was a part filmed at left or somewhere by the bridge, it didn't look like left though, it was a fat sider set up with a fat barrel wave at the end, they were even winching it. The bit started as you saw Bill Bryan leaving his flat right up the beach and going down the stairs...Bill Bryan in SF? I dunno I may be trippin and it was about 15 years ago...

wow where is potter when you need him. Trying to even think of a fat sider some where around here. Stairs, well thats a place possible called 1000 steps in L.A. pretty sure on that one. Any skimat montara? Was watching the ocean while working on the yard. Look super glassy out there. Man to glassy!
