Bolinas!

Post by Deebo » Tue May 21, 2013 8:04 pm

Pretty sweet for right liners up the groin at upcoming tide yesterday. I'm probably going to hit it up tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Haha heck yeah! Was actually really fun Wednesday evening for the high high tide. Fast powerful frontside liners and some cover ups. Skimmed it with Benny D. Too bad I surfed for 2 hours before and was beat, blowing it majorly. Had so much fun I came back Thursday morning, but sadly it wasn't as good because tide wasn't as high and dub was an issue. Still fun though.

Was out there Saturday for surfing. It was completely offshore, but the skim looked awesome. The only problem with that place is that there's tons of rocks, and that since it's flat, it's difficult to get enough speed to reach the meat/power of the wave. It would be fun if the winch was on the Stinson side of the lagoon and could pull across from the Bolinas side.

Potter and I skimmed it Sunday evening and it was pretty fun. Seems like the higher tide the better now. As soon as it turned it dropped pretty fast and lost a lot of power. Around high it was pretty easy to reach though. We were skimming the liners right towards the end of the graffiti wall. I'd imagine this evening and tomorrow evening it will be pretty fun with higher high tide.

Selvaskim and I are looking for skim Friday evening, think it has a shot? Otherwise I might cruise to SC.

Frack, can't skim saturday. With the recent w and forecast I think I might put the board in a storage unit until September. If you can shred Friday evening you should roll out to Bolinas.

High tide on friday isn't until like 10pm, but it's a pretty high one (7 ft) and the low before that isn't too low, so I think you'll still get some good push for the last couple hrs of daylight at least. I'm probably going to be heading to the mountains for the weekend, but if for some reason I don't I'll see you guys there...

It's a new chatline created for/by skimmers to specifically talk strategy for contests. It's epic.

Just kidding, it's just group texting on whatsapp.

I was out there last Friday night for Solstice, skimmed for like an hour. Some really fun ones rolling through on the sets as the tide got higher around 8ish.
