So far dun looks stronger on Sat and starting early, calming down SUnday as the combo swell drops a notch too...I mostly likely have to go down south so good luck with everything!

Well yeah it does look a little worse, but I don't think the dub is going to be an issue at the Cove before 11am, and the tide will be too low by that time anyway. So we'll have to get an early start though if we want to get the thing going and done when conditions are still good. I'm thinking shoot for everyone getting there at 7am if possible and start running heats at 8.

Looks like there is a storm system approaching that could possibly relieve the dub situation for the afternoon hours and provide a possible bonus session, but definitely can't rely on that for the event. There's definitely more dub swell in the water though with the change in the forecast, so I don't think Wright's is going to be good with that anyway.

^Lol I know. He didn't even make the last one and he lives right there.

I was just thinking we could potentially move the cup to the Navaroo river or somewhere in the Mendo area. Dub looks really mellow up there all day if people don't mind the long ass drive...

Shoot well I was halfway kidding because I didn't think anybody would be into it! Turns out the Cove was setup really nice this morning, steep, fun and glassy still when I left at 10:00am, so I think that's worth a first look tomorrow in the a.m. The south swell was actually almost too big and it got better like an hour after high tide when things started to calm down. I think tomorrow it will be beneficial if the dub swell outside can break up the south swell a bit.

It is still possible the dub could turn on early and ruin things making it uncontestable, in which case I think then we could decide to trek up to Navarro river/ mendo area. It's a two hour drive about from Bodega, but it's a pretty one and my confidence is high that it will be fun. Looks like no dub up there and I think the medium low tide will be good with amount of swell on tap right now. I think that should be our last resort though if we are not happy with how things are going in the Bodega area. I might still actually trek up there on Sunday to give it a look too.

Also I'm staying in Bodega tonight and will check Wright's at the crack of dawn on my way to the Cove just in case it's working.

Anyone have wax? I just stripped my board of all its wax and I don't have a bar of the stuff. Deebo this is directed at you to bring wax to the beach for optimum shredding.
