Ended up being a fun event and we got pretty good contestable conditions for the most part, despite the bad looking dub forecast. Slope flattened out a bit overnight and the swell was more junky than optimal, but waves were still fun and only blew out near the end of the finals and consolation, which was at about 11:30 am I think.

One thing worth mentioning, about this event I think, is that everybody skimmed really well and I thought the judging was pretty difficult. Definitely can't think of anyone who skimmed bad or was struggling at all, which made it hard to separate the riders into placings. Sam and Wyatt were definitely battling it out for the top spot and skimming on a bit higher level than 3rd place I think and I'm not sure I even deserved to be in the 3rd position. Could have been Potter or 57 in the 3rd spot for sure IMO. Everybody skimmed well in the consolation as well despite the dub making things difficult.

Anyway props to everyone who could make it out and did! I've got high hopes for scoring some fun waves in HMB for the next one with that fall primetime window...

So I finally got to editing these photos and posted the decent one's to facebook. Made them public, so even if you don't have an FB account you can still view them. I think I still actually need to post photos from the first Bodega event, so I'll try and get on that. Here's the link to the most recent event photos that Nikki was nice enough to take:

big fan of Deebo pics - thanks for posting, good stuff. Wyatt throwin tail shot is badass - all the TDT guys were jealous of that one.
