ahhhh doood, why you got to do that to me?

I'm thinking some time in October, cause the tides won't really work on any of the free weekends I have this month or Sept.

Or how about move it to Bodega where you have more options and the drive isn't such a pain in the ass.

Although I'm nowhere near any of those spots, I agree with Dustin (assuming I was actually still living out there) - have the cramik skimfest a roaming contest - try a new spot. No way in hell someone would ask you for a permit at wrights!

Dustin will be unhappy no matter where it's held, so I'm not really paying much attention. jk

No I thought about Blowdega for last year, but Wrights wasn't working last year, and quite frankly, I don't really want to have it up there anywhere but Wrights.

I think we may have to invade the nudies at Baker during Indian Summer.

Yeah I don't want to drive either so let's have it at my pool. Not many waves but we can invite the coeds next door!

Yeah Wright's hasn't been working recently either, but Portuguese has been really consistant. Almost anyday with a really low tide it's been breaking. Also Salmon could always be a last resort if nothing else is working as you can usually find something worth skimmin there. In my opinion it is more consistant and usually better than Limantour.

I got out to limantour yesterday, pretty clean and right on shore but still small. and cold. it got pretty damn nice at high tide though, and I didn't have to walk way down the beach for waves.

Portuguese was fire again today. Skimmed till I was about to pass out. I really need to sleep more though. Yeah, but whover would consider Baker for a contest seriously needs to pull their head out.....imo. It's gotta be the most inconsistant of all skim breaks that I know of. You have to consider the fact that the dub in that place can be howling like crazy even when the forecast calls for nothing and all of California is calm. Also you might want to consider that the place is very touchy with swell direction, tide, and overall sand setup and usually if there is waves it's all walled up with no shape whatsoever. Anyway I have maybe got it good once or twice out of the hundreds of times that I have been there and most of the time it's not really skimmable unless I'm really desperate. Basically counting on Baker being good for a contest is like counting on Colin to stop looking at porn on the computer....highly unlikely.

Limantour!!!

Remember, it is not all about the skim fellas. Limantour is such a beautiful spot to just hang, relax, watch Potter try to start a BBQ and maybe toss the skimmer at a few waves.

I'm a limantour fan. And good to hear about October I'm gone most of Aug & Sept. would hate to miss it - too good of a tradition to miss. Plus I'll be able to show off my new skimmer to everyone - yes the Tom Heins BLACK BEAST has been officially retired!

Hope everyone is well.

Wow, how did my good name get dragged through the mud in this thread? The only thing I look at more than pron on the computer is POD's of Dustin. Boo yeah.
When the going gets tough the tough go skimboarding.

no way, polycarbonic will never die. tommer tell us it ain't true. that board is a part of your identity. i've seen you with that board more than i've seen you with your wife. crazy!
BTW limantour sounds fine to me. great site for a skimfest. besides, i don't want to lug my shit down a cliff to wrights or the guese. rather that mile long path to limantour. watch out for the snowy plover.
